Results:
Wind Only -- Glass and film intact.
Wind plus Small Projectiles -- Glass broken but 3M trade; Scotchshield™ Ultra 400 Film still intact
(no penetration).
Important Information:
Performance of the 3M Ultraflex Window System will be affected by the basic structure
capabilities of the window system, type of frame, thickness, size and type of glass (tempered or
regular). System is also affected by size of projectile; i.e., ten 2-gram steel balls at high speed
broke glass, but did not penetrate film, however, a 2x4 will penetrate glass and film, but
remainder of film will still be intact. Since your windows may be different from system(s)
tested, we cannot guarantee results. Regardless, when properly installed, the 3M Ultraflex
Window System will provide an increased measure of impact and wind resistance.

1 Test: 130 MPH plus cyclic wind pressure with glass intact and glass broken (small projectiles -- ten 2-gram steel
balls ASTM D-1863). Result: No penetration of film. No failure in edge seal, window attachment.
2 System: Tested an approved Dade County 120 MPH Window Frame System (50" x 78") with 3/16" Temper Glass,
3M™ Scotchshield™ Ultra 400 Film and Dow Corning® 995 Silicone Structure Adh (the Ultraflex Window
System).
